Homes on the bluff rarely come on the market.
And very few of them are newer. Fewer still were built by one of
Anchorage's most respected builders, Crown Pointe, Inc.
There are two panorama photos you can display,
by clicking the one above or the first of the photo gallery
below. Even these can hardly do justice to the breathtaking
grandeur of Alaska before you at this stunning 10,000 square
foot home site.
Seascape Planned Community owns the land below
this home, over the edge of the bluff, leading to the Anchorage
Coastal Wildlife Refuge. Also under discussion is the extension
of the Coastal Trail, an easement for which has already been
provided on this land owned by the community. (The community
also owns a large park behind the homes on the other side of
Leary Bay Circle.)
This one-owner home is only five years old,
built in 1998. There has been light use. It has four bedrooms
and 2.75 baths: the layout serves a wide variety of lifestyles.
The master bedroom suite is private, separated by a "flying
bridge" balcony from two other bedrooms that have their own
bath. The laundry upstairs is plumbed for electric or gas drier.
The fourth bedroom is on the ground level, with a three-quarter
bath. This invites its use as a home office or guest suite.
The main living areas follow a great room
concept. A 20 foot tall bank of windows surmounts the two story
living room, to exploit the view and southern sun exposure. The
adjacent wall is the fireplace with a mosaic tile inlay and a
tasteful arrangements of lighted built-in bookcase and display
areas. (Speaking of display, don't miss the lighted display nook
inside the entry, across from the impressive curved stairway
with its soft tread lights.)
For durability, you can't beat oak and the oak
flooring in this home is the real wood, not a laminate or
look-alike. It blends into the fine cabinetry of the kitchen,
which includes a built-in desk and display cabinet for your
finer dishes and glassware. The flooring runs through the entry,
family and living areas, the kitchen and formal dining rooms.
For luxury, the master suite has it all! It's
very large, as is the walk-in closet that is completely
built-out with useful shelving. The bath has all the room one
could ask for, a glass-enclosed shower and Jacuzzi-brand tub
that looks straight out at the view.
In the kitchen you have the best of everything,
including a gas cooktop and electric wall ovens and microwave.
All countertops are Corion. The fridge is included. One of the
photos shows the view from the window in front of the sink,
again looking straight out at Cook Inlet.
Not every lot can accommodate a three-car
garage, but this one does. There's 768 square of room for your
things, and a built-in dog play area that could easily be
removed if not needed.
The home has a full security system with dual
keypads, motion and glass break sensors, cold temperature and
fire reporting capability. There is also a Bose speaker system
wired throughout the home, leading to a "brain" center in the
cabinetry to the right of the fireplace. The home is wired for
up to four phone lines. Networking cable is also present, as is
the plumbing for a central vacuum system.
Outside the large deck can accommodate a real
crowd! The exterior has recently been repainted (and the
interior freshened). The landscaping includes a variety of
shrubbery and trees. With such a large lot, the gardener
is welcome to take full advantage of the south exposure of this
yard.
The photos say it all. Leaf through the pictures
